In order to keep our company’s structure lean and efficient, we have automated our process as much as possible. This allows us to save unnecessary costs and to pass along a significant portion of our fee directly to the proofreaders.
We have a three-pronged approach to guarantee quality. First, we only work with experienced and well-trained editors. Second, our “four-eyes principle” ensures that two editors look at each document we receive. Third, we request and evaluate feedback from each customer in order to constantly improve our service.
Our approach is to always correct with caution and with a careful eye to the complexity of the document. When in doubt, we’ll always offer an alternative version of the text in the comments section. And, in exceptionally complex or ambiguous situations, a proofreader will get in touch with you, directly via email, to clear up any confusion.

We include the following cases:
Your document will be returned with all edits made using the “track changes” tool, so you’ll know exactly what we’ve changed and where. If something is unclear to the proofreader, or if they want to alert you to certain inconsistencies, you’ll see it in the comments in the margin. With the review feature, you can either accept all changes or choose specific edits to accept while also taking our comments into consideration.
We accept all common text files (MS Word, Open Office, LaTeX). If your document is in another format, contact us and we’ll do our best to come up with a solution. And either way, we promise to get back to you!
We use the "word count " tool in the word processing program. As we correct every part of the text, we also include captions and footnotes in the final count.
We will correct a test page of your document and make it available to you online. If you are happy with the results, you’ll find a link where you can confirm that you want us to finish the correction. The document will still be in our system, so you won’t have to upload it again. If you don’t request a full correction, we will delete your document within 6 weeks.
You can make payments directly online with PayPal, or with a debit or credit card. We have no hidden or extra charges – you’ll only pay for your correction.
